What you buy
A licence to use EMTAC Digitising, a Windows app for Embroidery digitising, at the level you choose: LITE, P+ or PRO. The licence is once-off and is for one computer at a time; you may move it to another computer yourself (Help › Licences › Your licence key) up to 3 times in 12 months.
Your use of the app is governed by the EMTAC Digitising Licence Agreement, shown when the app first opens.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in South African rand and are the full price you pay. EMBROIDERY TACTICS (PTY) LTD is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Payment is made through Payfast; we never see or keep your card details.
Delivery
The app is delivered by download. Your licence key is e-mailed to the address you buy with, together with the download link, once your payment is confirmed. See the Delivery page.
Updates
Every update to the version you buy (EMTAC Digitising 1) is included. A new major version is an optional upgrade at about a third of the price of your level; if you bought within 60 days before it came out, it is yours free.
Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel within 7 days of getting your licence key, as long as you have not typed it into the app. The details are in the Refund and Returns Policy.

If you bought through an agent
Our agents buy licences from us for their own Clients and sell them on at a price they set themselves. If you bought EMTAC Digitising through one of our agents, the rest of these terms apply to you, with these differences.
The licence is yours. It is issued in your name, at the level your agent bought for you, and its licence key is e-mailed to you — never to your agent. Your agent has no access to your licence, your licence key or your support conversations.
Price and payment. You pay your agent, at the price your agent sets, and your agent invoices you; the prices on this website are what we charge when you buy from us yourself. Your agent pays us for the licence by credit card only, with a purchase code we give the agent for that one purchase, and our invoice goes to your agent.
Cancelling. The purchase and its payment are your agent’s, so only your agent can cancel it with us: see “If you bought through an agent” in the Refund and Returns Policy.
Support is yours, as with every licence: 24/7 Live Support inside the app, and support@emtacdigitising.com.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, work or data, or for damage to garments, materials or machines; and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim, as section 12 of the EMTAC Digitising Licence Agreement says. This does not limit our liability for gross negligence, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be excluded.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
