EMTAC Digitising saves and opens 24 kinds of machine file from 14 makers, in every level. Save As lists them by the machine’s maker, so you pick your machine, not a file ending.

Each kind carries the thread colours where the format can hold them; a kind that holds stitches only says so in the Save As list.
Your design itself is saved as an .Emtac file — the one you keep editing — and the machine file is made from it in one step.
